Mead Five Star Notebooks: Spiral-Spell-Bound!
The Five Star brand does their very best to do just that; adding functions and fashions to their school supplies that would make your dusty clipboard sooooooooo jealous.
For the Five Star Back-to-School campaign in 2008, Mead needed to create awareness of their new line of notebooks. Betawave created a custom paper airplane advergame that cleverly integrated the Five Star brand into the experience. We wrapped this in-game message with an around-the-game media package that efficiently delivered the target audience to the Five Star microsite.
The stats for the Classroom Pilot game were simply staggering; over 9 million gameplays with an average time spent of more than four minutes per game. Another telling stat is found in the media component; as media around the gamepage performed five times better than every other placement.
Most importantly the Five Star brand team felt this campaign was one of their most successful efforts; defined by the measurable engagement driven through these interactive placements.
And they have something really cool lined up for Back-to-School 2009.....stay tuned!
