The Sales Project Manager (SPM) plays a pivotal role at Betawave. The primary function of the SPM is to support multiple regional Sales Account Executives in the pre-sales process. In addition, they are responsible for the overseeing and driving the successful execution of sold campaigns. Reporting to the Sales Operations Manager, the Sales Project Manager will have a solid understanding of the Betawave Publisher Network and ad products.

With stakeholders including the internal Betawave team and external clients (Betawave advertisers), this role will require superior communication and client-facing skills. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of online advertising, the media sales process, and operations. In addition, the ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record in a similar role. The role will be based in New York but will be required to travel to San Francisco headquarters early on. In addition, quarterly travel to the various sales regions may also be necessary.

Key Duties:

  • Conduct research to identify prospects and stay abreast of industry trends and competitor behavior
  • Work directly with AE on responding to Request for Proposals (RFP) from advertising agencies
  • Create customized, compelling presentations and media plans
  • Lead the cross-functional pre-sales process when responding to briefs or creating proactive proposals
  • Assist AE's in managing pipeline and revenue forecasting
  • Lead the post-Insertion Order (IO) implementation of campaign on standard and custom media. This includes gathering assets, tags and other requirements through basic campaign management and final reporting. SPM will also interface with a Campaign Manager on custom elements of the campaign.
  • Manage all live campaigns through their flight ensuring delivery of client Key Performance Indicators
  • Ensure that all systems are kept current, specifically Salesforce and DSM

Required Skills:

  • 2 to 3 years of online media experience in a sales or sales support role
  • Superior time management skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to juggle and manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, often under tight deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a knack for diplomacy and persuasion
  • Ability to navigate and communicate effectively with both internal and external clients, and with cross-functional teams. Past client-facing experience with agencies and/or advertisers is a plus
  • Demonstrated problem solver and strategic thinker who takes a proactive approach to challenges and has the motivation to make an impact with each campaign
  • Have a natural curiosity in customers, their needs and behaviors
  • Hard working, hands-on, and always prepared to go the extra mile to over-deliver and make improvements
  • Proficiency in Word/PowerPoint/Excel a must
  • Experience working with DFP, DFA, DSM and/or Salesforce is a plus
